PARENT/PLAYER MANUAL

MEMBERSHIP & OTHER CLUB FEES

Club Tonka has established season fees for all teams. This information can be viewed on the website, under Club Tonka Programs, Team Details & Fees, well in advance of tryouts. Fees cover practice facility rentals, coaches’ salaries, hotels for coaches, tournament entry fees,  uniforms, equipment, insurance, JVA, and USAV membership fees and administration costs.  For insurance and liability reasons, traveling to tournaments and to the venues at the tournaments, is not provided by Club Tonka. Travel is the sole responsibility of the parents. If a parent is unable to attend a travel tournament, it is the parent’s responsibility to find another family to host their player for the duration of the event.

If you did not choose to pay your fees in full at the beginning of the season, a credit card will be kept on file and used to satisfy the financial obligations of your account with Club Tonka. Special payment arrangements can only be made with the office, not your coach. Contact Lynn Fleener at billing@comcast.net for any financial questions or if you would like payment options that better meet your families’ needs.

For athletes who commit to the Club Tonka program either at tryouts or later in the season, there will be no refunds of any kind for any reason. This policy includes leaving the team voluntarily, as well as injuries or illnesses incurred at any time during the season. A financial commitment to the entire season fees is mandatory for all members. The reason for this policy is that if a player leaves a team, the costs for the team remain. Most clubs in the Twin Cities abide by this policy in order to keep their clubs viable.

NOTE: Club fees must be current for players to participate in training and competition dates.
